Denise Robinson-Owner
Denise Robinson currently is the Owner/Manager of her own Home Based Travel Agency (Denise’s Travel Agency) in which she earned her Travel Agent Degree at Penn Foster College. She is also, Co Owner/Broker, along with her husband Robert of Culpepper and McCoy Real Estate Firm located in Hopewell Junction, NY. Denise owns an Event Planning Service with over 20 years experience in the Hospitality Industry; she is a licensed Notary Public; and she has trained as a mentor to women.
Travel is no stranger to Denise. She has been making travel arrangements for herself, family members and friends for over 10 years. Denise has arranged Jazz Cruise trips to nowhere, Costa Del Sol, Spain trips and a local African American Historical Tour. Because of her knack for planning and details and the love of traveling, she decided to educate herself in the world of Travel and open her own Agency. With the education from Penn Foster and the assistance from the Travel Institute, Denise has been conducting her own Travel business since 2008.
While Denise pursued her Travel career, she also worked to overcome a brain tumor and breast cancer. This type of determination is what she is all about and what drives her to succeed. Currently she is a member of OSSN, NACTA and CLIA and she is also working towards her Accredited Cruise Counselor Certification
Denise’s community activities have included being a member of the Poughkeepsie Journal Multicultural Advisory Board, Board member of D.C. Girl Scouts and nominating Committee member, member of the Family Partnership’s Community Development Committee, ERVK School to Work Initiative Program, Member of Education, Diversity, and special events committee for the Poughkeepsie Chamber of Commerce. She initiated an in-school publishing business for Titusville Elementary School. In addition, she served on the Poughkeepsie Journal’s Nominating Committee for Diversity in the Workplace, member of the SCORE Advisory Board; Member of the Women’s Business Network and developed a Financial Enrichment Program for the Youth.
Her various fields of education, employment, and community service as well as travel experiences have been the foundation for her Travel career. It has allowed Denise to gain vast experience with meeting the needs of the client, being introduced to various cultures and customs, being detailed and thorough and the importance of being a person of integrity.
